Random at Tandem

1. Silly Bandz- have you heard of these? One minute i am asking one of my kindergarteners what's on her wrist, the next minute i am wearing ten of them around my OWN wrist. And talk about being instantly cool...i just attended my aunt's birthday party, and my cousin's kid was there, came right up to me, without introduction, pointed to my wrist (where i had a measly three bandz), and said, "i have more silly bandz than you!". Well then. He's in latchkey and he told me that the big to-do was to trade them with your friends. i traded him a dinosaur for a guitar. Then i think he felt sorry for me, because he gave me the gingerbread man from SHREK, and one that nobody can tell me what it is. Which is why i picked it. I have stared and stared, turned it around, upside down and backwards. What is it? My husband is convinced it is a buffalo. He's not from Kansas, so maybe he really doesn't get what a buffalo looks like. That's what i tell myself. The only thing that comes to my head is a rabbit who is spreading his arms out like, "TA-DA!". But a rabbit from what? is there a rabbit in Shrek the Third? I haven't seen it. Can anybody tell me what this is?

2. Almost Famous- Looks like my big brother gets the spotlight...AGAIN. stinks. no, i'm kidding, i am usually the one in the spotlight. No, we are equal. But here it is: proof that my big bro and his wife are a pretty darn handsome all-American looking couple. Dayspring Cards decided they also looked like Jesus-lovers, so as to add them to this tasteful Icthus frame in their "Gifts and Decor Guide" catalog. Well, gotta go try to catch up with the infamous character i call Brother. Maybe someday i will be in a catalog...

3. Some of our friends who were married a month before us had the coolest thing at their reception: a portable PHOTO BOOTH! It's a company called "SayCheezPhotoBooth.com" and they provide the camera, props, booth, and even scrapbooking accessories for guests to have fun with for a "guestbook". My parents tried to rent this company for my wedding, but it turns out that was a pretty big weekend for the Say Cheezers. I highly recommend this for weddings, though, especially if you don't end up having a dance. it definitely keeps kids- and people who act like kids- occupied once the cake is gone. You can see that my hubby and i (only FIANCE at the time!) had a lot of good quality bonding fun.

It hink Rayna was right - it looks kinda like Puss in Boots.

Love that Rory and Gilmore are both on your list of bebe names :-) I totally tried to get "Lorelai" on our list but Jeffrey vetoed it.
