Sacred Tower
Come sweet sinner
Dark and dirty
Flag is fallen
People hurting
Men cry out
And women wail
Children question
To no avail
where is the light?
The shadows inquire
And burning bright
The Sacred Tower
I am the Light
Our Fortress cries
We’ll stand to fight
Combating lies
A rooster crows
A drunkard kneels
A whore is silent
A stoic feels
A cynic nods
A patient smiles
A doctor questions
A Light for miles
O Sacred Tower
Pleading heard
Come save the smitten
Filled with false word
The scholar and the babe agree
There’s more to life, and Life is Thee.
